Creating has always been something I’ve loved doing. Whether I’m writing about the worlds that exist only in my mind or if I’m sculpting together a piece of art I love seeing the things I create come to life! I’m inspired by those who tell their stories despite how hard the world has made it for them to share. I want my art to show people that they should be proud of who they are as well as where they come from while being their authentic selves. Like Maya Angelou said, “If you’re always trying to be normal, you’ll never know how amazing you can be.” I believe media is an amazing tool that I wish to utilize in order to tell the stories of individuals who typically don’t have the platform. My main goal is to give marginalized groups the opportunity to share their stories, which I believe will allow others the opportunity to connect with these groups.
